Velum is a study-planning tool designed for medical students. It generates personalized study schedules based on your preferences and, optionally, your Google Calendar events. Velum is a planning aid, not medical or academic advice.

By using Velum during beta, you acknowledge these limitations and agree not to hold Velum liable for service interruptions or schedule inaccuracies.
Velum uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude) to generate study schedules. These schedules are:
Velum's AI does not have access to your actual course materials, grades, or curriculum. Always use your own judgment and consult your academic advisors for official guidance.
You sign in via Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining access to your Google account. You must be at least 18 years old to use Velum. One person per account.
You own your data. We store it to provide the service. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.
You agree not to:
Connecting Google Calendar is optional. If connected, Velum accesses your calendar in read-only mode to detect events and schedule around them. You can revoke access at any time via your Google Account permissions or Velum Settings.
Velum is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Velum is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:
Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Velum in the 12 months preceding the claim. Since Velum is currently free, this limit is $0.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion removes your profile, preferences, and all associated data permanently within 30 days. This action cannot be undone.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of King County, Washington.
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice in the app at least 14 days before changes take effect. Continued use of Velum after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
